There was plenty to learn with Diplo at the controls of the AMA including some new collabs with Jack Ü, Iggy Azalea and MØ. Walshy Fire added a few bits of info, while Jillionaire was apparently stuck in traffic - typical LA. -

'Entourage' Movie Soundtrack: Diplo, Tame Impala, Pharrell Featured
One of the summer's most anticipated movies, Entourage, is just two weeks away from opening night and fans of the show (myself being one) can hardly wait. The HBO series highlights the inner workings of Hollywood in a comedic manner and does so with a great soundtrack propelling it to a worldwide audience. The show featured tracks, notably hip-hop tracks, from the likes of Jay Z, T.I., Kanye West, Eminem, N.W.A. and many more. That tradition of big tracks to go along with the overtop acting is coming to the big screen and the film soundtrack has been unveiled. Among those who will appear on the tracklist include Diplo, Pharrell, Tame Impala and Jane's Addiction. -

Yesterday saw another great day in playoff basketball as the Cleveland Cavaliers defeated the Chicago Bulls on a Lebron James Buzzer beater to tie the series at 2-2 and then the Los Angeles Clippers handily defeated the Houston Rockets at home to take a commanding 3-1 series lead. However the storylines do not stop there with the two games - each stadium had major musicians come and perform to try and inspire their team to victory. Kanye West showed up at the United Center to do pre-game introductions and perform "All Day" during a TV timeout. He was one-upped by Diplo and Skrillex who performed as Jack Ü during the Clipper's halftime break. -

Diplo No More? Jack Ü, Major Lazer DJ Wants To 'Retire Diplo Material'
If you plan on seeing Diplo in the near future, you might be in for an abrupt change. In a new interview with Rick Rubin in Interview Magazine, Diplo talked about his upbringings as an artist, how he approaches himself as a brand and a musician, being a father and much more. He also causally slid into the conversation that he was looking to retire the Diplo name and focus more Major Lazer. Rubin asked the "Revolution" Dj how he separates out his many creative projects and Diplo dropped the bomb. "Well, I'm trying to actually retire Diplo material at this point. Diplo has a ceiling in Vegas, and I'm doing great there, but I'm so proud of Major Lazer-the way it sounds, the way it's mixed. I feel like if I devote my time to that, it could grow." -
Are Gucci Mane and Diplo Making An Album Together?
We cannot say that we saw this one coming. According to Gucci Mane's Twitter account, which is probably managed by his manager because it is doubtful they give Gucci Twitter privileges in prison, Guwop is making an album with Diplo. Gucci originally called it "an EDM album," but Diplo later clarified that while they were working on something, there wasn't going to be anything EDM about it. -

Diplo continues to remain an ever-present force in the music world and that is represented in his media appearances.
