• Jack Ü Album Will Be Released 'This Month,' According to Diplo

    The Grammys may be over, but the fallout from interviews, comments and events that transpired is still reverberating throughout the industry. CBS caught up with producer/DJ Diplo, who was on hand with Madonna to see her perform the song they did together, "Living for Love," from her upcoming album "Rebel Heart" and asked him a few questions. Among other things, he was asked about his upcoming projects, and he gave a more concrete timeline to the long-awaited Jack Ü album with Skrillex that fans have been eagerly waiting for, saying it will be released "this month."

According to the report, Elliott did something a little different this time, remixing Diplo & Skrillex's single as Jack Ü "Take Ü There" featuring Kiesza.

    The Las Vegas arms race is heating up with strip veteran Wynn Las Vegas announcing its complete artist roster for 2015. A few names have already trickled out so far this year, with Kaskade making a big announcement of his homecoming to Wynn for a multi-year residency, and a report on Calvin Harris's new residency at Hakkasan by "Askmen" revealed Avicii's intentions to return to Wynn and at a higher price tag then Harris's reported $400,000 per gig. The Vegas nightlife brand, which owns XS Nightclub, Surrender, Tryst and Encore Beach Club, has brought in top-flight acts like Diplo, Skrillex, Laidback Luke, David Guetta, Zedd and others.

On the EDM side of things, they spoke with Diplo (born Thomas Wesley Pentz). The influential producer/DJ dished on his beef with Taylor Swift fans, his relationship with Lorde, the role of labels in the industry today, his approach to music, L.A.'s thriving underground music scene, Odd Future's staying power, working with Madonna, being in the tabloids, how he chooses collaborators, and more.     Shaun White is bringing the winter sport showcase Air + Style to Los Angeles, California, in a month's time Feb. 21 and 22. To go along with the surreal scene of snow — fake or not — in Los Angeles that is not on a movie set, he has curated an all-star musical lineup of acts that will perform over the two-day event. Some of the headliners include Los Angeles native Kendrick Lamar, L.A. resident Diplo, Steve Aoki, The Flaming Lips, Edward Shape and The Magnetic Zeros and others.

    Diplo has his own show every Saturday night on BBC Radio One Xtra, Diplo & Friends, where he invites some artists he likes to do a guest mix on the show. He occasionally takes over the decks for a full 2-hour session where he plays tracks from his favorite artists and Mad Decent label signees. The first solo show of 2015 was one of those occasions.

    The world's most famous paint party, Life In Color, is going on their most ambitious world tour to start 2015, expanding from their traditional base in the United States, primarily with the college aged crowd and into the South American market. The "Big Bang — The Creation of Color" tour is anticipated to cover 130 cities in 50 countries. The first phase has been announced for the winter and spring in the US and South America, hitting countries like Argentina, Chile, Brazil and Puerto Rico, in addition to the United States. LIC will host already announced DJs like Diplo, Bingo Players, Dillon Francis, Party Favor, DVBBS and more.

    In conjunction with the re-release of Diplo's debut artist album, 'F10RIDA,' Diplo and Pitchfolk have unveiled a new avant-garde, rather trippy documentary about the making of the album and give a glimpse into the life of Thomas Wesley Pentz. Featuring a lot of random movie and TV show clips interspersed throughout the 20-minute documentary, it can be a little hard to follow, but it does provide some useful insight into the life of Diplo before he became the globetrotting, superstar producer, DJ he is today.

    Atlanta rapper Trinidad Jame$ has announced the release of a new album titled "No One Is SaFe," which will drop Jan. 20. According to "The Fader," the album will be a free release and feature guest appearances by iLoveMakonnen, OG Maco, Peewee Longway, Offset, Problem, Lil Debbie, Scotty ATL and Big K.R.I.T.     Diplo took to Instagram late last night, a medium where he likes to post bathroom selfies and videos and pictures of girls twerking and show pictures and the occasional important piece of information about his career. Delivering on an important piece of news, it appears the "Revolution" producer has uploaded the tracklist to the long-awaited EP from Jack Ü, his super duo with Skrillex.The EP includes their debut and only single thus far, "Take Ü There" featuring Canadian songstress Kiesza. Their rumored collaborations with AlunaGeorge and 2 Chainz are also included and were first previewed in the duo's Diplo & Friends mix.Fans have been waiting on an EP or album from the pair since they announced their collaboration back in 2013. 2014 saw Skrillex and Diplo tour and come together in earnest, making a big splash with their main stage set at Ultra Music Festival while doing select dates on the Mad Decent Block Party tour and a few select surprise shows throughout the year. They capped things off with a headlining show at Madison Square Garden on New Year's Eve, a gig normally reserved for jam band heroes Phish.
