Last month, Los Angeles rapper Ty Dolla $ign shared his Diplo-produced track, "Stand For," and today Diplo has shared a radical remix of the song featuring two of Brooklyn indie rock's biggest stars: Ed Droste of Grizzly Bear and Rostam Batmanglij of Vampire Weekend. The track has been re-titled "Long Way Home" and replaces Ty's verses with Droste's gorgeous vocals, as well as some other embellishments from Batmanglij. "[I]t's about time that indie rock acts started to co-opt rap beats!," Diplo said in the song's original Soundcloud description. -

Diplo and Skrillex (Jack Ü), RL Grime, What So Not and Carmada Take Over Triple J Mix-Up [LISTEN]
Last night, Australian radio might have gotten its biggest collection of mixes ever on air. With the Stereosonic tour in its final weekend, Aussie radio station Triple J was able to tab four of the biggest touring artists — Skrillex, Diplo, RL Grime and What So Not — along with local up-and-coming act Carmada to join the program to spin a back-to-back-to-back-to-back, three-hour mix. The first 80 minutes saw Skrillex and Diplo take over the decks live as Jack Ü before turning over to a short session from Carmada. RL Grime took over the airwaves next with the aid of Skrillex and their airtime spilled over into What So Not's mix in the last hour of the show.Diplo and Skrillex were just on Triple J the day before to discuss their Jack Ü project and what they had coming up when they mentioned this mix. They said they had no idea what they were going to play, yet they still deliver another outstanding frenetic mix filled with tunes from each artist, their labels and some exclusives as well, via "Dancing Astronaut." -

Jack U (Skrillex and Diplo) Release 'Take U There' Featuring Kiesza Music Video [WATCH]
As they announced on Power 106's "Big Boy's Neighborhood," Skrillex and Diplo have released the music video for their super duo Jack U's debut single "Take U There" alongside must-watch Canadian singer Kiesza. The video is not a big-budget music video you may find from a major-label-signed pop star, but is more of a well-produced do-it-yourself video. It features footage of Jack U performing across the Mad Decent Block Party tour this summer in Los Angeles and Dallas, with clips of the New York show at MCU Park, where "Take U There" was performed with live vocals from Kiesza for the first time. The music video takes a trippy turn with wacky Disclosure — like drawings over their faces and cartoonish animations overlaying the two DJs and singer dancing. You can tell it was pretty DIY when the police stop them for filming the video in the street. It shows the carefree and fun-loving attitude from these three, via "Spin."
