Team Luke Isn't Happy With the ACM Entertainer of the Year Loss
The ACM Entertainer of the Year is the big daddy of wins and many thought that the reigning entertainer, Luke Bryan, would walk away with it again this year. When it went to country music veteran, George Strait, Hunter Jobes, Luke's merchandising manager, posted a slam on his twitter and the firestorm started from there. -

The Academy of Country Music isn't one to wait until the last minute. The awards show occurred just last night (April 6) and the Academy has already announced the venue for next year's event. Dallas Cowboys owner Jerry Jones and country musician George Strait took the stage during the ceremony and formally announced (if the former wasn't a strong hint) that AT&T Stadium in Arlington, TX would host the 2015 ceremony. -

With the ACM's being held this on the 6th, there is a real lull in the country music world as far as tours go. While there aren't many events not centered around the awards, there are a few. This is a snapshot of what's coming up in Country music next week... -

George Strait sells out Dallas Cowboys stadium in less than a day for final show
George Strait managed to sell out his final concert in less than one day. "Big deal," say you, "tons of bands sell out venues in just one day of sales." The difference, of course, is that Strait sold out AT&T Stadium, the home of the Dallas Cowboys, which has seating capacity for more than 100,000. So it's about on par with selling out the 2014 Super Bowl in one day. Which happened, but the Super Bowl is about the paramount of American events, so Strait's final show could be considered a big deal. -
Jason Aldean, Kenny Chesney, Eric Church among supporting acts at George Strait's final concert
George Strait may have just won Entertainer of The Year at the Country Music Association Awards, but that hasn't swayed his decision to call it a day at the end of his 2014 tour. The June 7, 2014 date at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, TX had been previously announced as the final date on "The Cowboy Rides Away" tour, but we all knew that it would have to be a blowout of the epic variety. Strait and his team have come through, assembling an all-star supporting cast for his final show. -
