• EDMbiz 2015 Speakers, Panels Announced: Krewella, Pasquale Rotella Included

    EDC Las Vegas is known for being one of the largest electronic music festivals in the world, but Insomniac is aiming higher with the event. It has created a whole week of industry-focused events in the city of Las Vegas that include speakers and panels in the week leading up to the big dance collectively known as EDMbiz. The event has announced the panel topics and the speakers that will be sitting on those panels. Among those who will be joining the action from Tuesday, June 16 to Thursday 18 are Krewella, Insomniac Events Founder and CEO, Pasquale Rotella, Above & Beyond member, Jono Grant, President of Electronic Music at Live Nation, James Barton, Blaise DeAngelo, general manager for Skrillex's label OWSLA and many more.

    Krewella have been noticeably quiet ever since former member of the trio Kris "Rainman" Trindl sued the group, probably at the behest of their legal team, but it appears that new music is on the way. Word spread across the internet (via YourEDM) and was then later confirmed by Krewella themselves that the pair have a new single coming "Somewhere To Run" on March 23, just before they head down to Miami for a few shows during the week and then their performance on the Live Stage on Sunday at Ultra Music Festival.

The former Swedish House Mafia member did not specify when in April, but it is good to know that the album will be arriving soon after a period of indefinite delays after battling with Columbia over the album.

    The war of words between Jahan Yousaf of Krewella, deadmau5 and former Krewella producer / DJ Kristopher "Rainman" Trindl continues to heat up. After a pretty quiet period after the initial shock had settled in from the court filings by Trindl and the counter filings by Krewella, the two sides have started to wage the war of public opinion online. After an op-ed in Billboard by Jahan Yousef, Kris took to twitter to respond to Yousaf's comments saying he was "betrayed" by the group and he was "forced out so that everybody could cash better checks."
