Music festivals tend to bring about endless collaborations and guests to the stage, leaving audience members eager to see if their favorite artists will enlist the help of any fellow musicians. During Mumford & Sons headlining set at Manchester's Bonnaroo on Saturday, the folk rockers invited special guests to join them in a cover of The Beatles classic, "With A Little Help From My Friends." -
Jason Sudeikis Interviews Mumford & Sons on 'Wilder Mind' and More [WATCH]
London folk rock band Mumford & Sons posed as a Beatles cover band for a 2012 Saturday Night Live skit comedian Jason Sudeikis wrote, creating a working bond and growing friendship between the five of them. After appearing in Mumford's "Hopeless Wanderer" video with Ed Helms and Jason Bateman, Sudeikis is culminating their working trifecta with a video Q&A. -
A$AP Rocky's 'A.L.L.A.', Boosie BadAzz and Hillsong United Drive Album Sales
Things were looking good for new albums on the sales chart this week, as the Top 3 spots were held by releases from A$AP Rocky, Boosie BadAzz and (somewhat ironically considering the other two entries), Hillsong United. -
Twenty One Pilots, Zedd, Jamie Foxx and Faith No More Debut in Albums Chart Top 10
Twenty One Pilots had never sold more than 11,000 copies of an album in one week prior to the release of Blurryface last week, but that record didn't need streaming to top the Billboard 200. It also comes in at no. 1 on the albums chart, selling 134,000 copies (more than 91 percent of the album's Billboard 200 total came from actual album sales). -
Brandon Flowers' 'The Desired Effect' Beats Mariah Carey, Faith No More for No. 1 Album in UK
Brandon Flowers wrote that "You Can't Deny My Love," and it seems as though you can't deny him a No. 1 album, either. The Killers frontman's latest solo album The Desired Effect has arrive at the top of the album chart in the United Kingdom, besting album releases from Faith No More, Mariah Carey and Paul Weller -
'Pitch Perfect 2' Soundtrack Sales Up, Snoop Dogg 'Bush' Numbers Down
'Pitch Perfect 2' might not have a "Cups" yet (technically Anna Kendrick does perform her song on the new soundtrack but it's not a Hot 100 smash anymore) but it still managed something that the previous film's song collection didn't: topping the albums charts. The record, boosted by medleys featuring dozens of hit songs, won the sales battle this week by moving 91,000 copies. -
Soundtracks Dominate Billboard 200 as 'Pitch Perfect 2' Debuts on Top
Another week and another soundtrack atop the Billboard 200, as the song collection from 'Pitch Perfect 2' grabs the no. 1 spot by moving 107,000 equivalent albums sold. The original film's soundtrack peaked at no. 3 on the Billboard 200, although its single "Cups" was a smash on the download charts. The current film already out-earned the first installment, which brought additional attention to the album as well. -
Mumford & Sons Drops, Tech N9ne Sets Personal Record on Albums Chart
This week Warner Music became the first major label to report higher earnings from streaming than digital downloads, but album sales seem to be doing alright for Mumford & Sons, which tops the sales chart by selling 249,000 copies of 'Wilder Mind' this week. That's a sizable number but more than a 50 percent drop off from the band's previous album, 'Babel,' which debuted with 600,000 copies sold (the biggest rock debut of the decade thus far, in the band's defense). -
Mumford & Sons Top Billboard 200, 'Fifty Shades' Gets Mother's Day Boost
Mumford & Sons remains a rock band to beat on the Billboard 200, gathering its second no. 1 record with Wilder Mind. Although the band's original alternative fan base has raised an eyebrow at the use of electric guitars on the new set, sales still came out to 249,000-trailing only Drake and Kendrick Lamar for biggest debut of 2015 thus far. Although nothing to frown at, it's still a relatively low sales figure for Mumford, which sold 600,000 copies of Babel when that album dropped during 2012. -
Mumford & Sons 'Wilder Mind' Heading for No. 1 Album Status Over Tech N9ne, 'Now 54'
It looks like Mumford & Sons may have another No. 1 album under the belt by this time next week. After releasing their first "plugged in" album Wilder Mind on Monday (May 4), the "Believe" band is set to top the Billboard 200 albums chart in the U.S. -
Mumford & Sons Perform "Believe" on 'Late Show With David Letterman,' Full Set on Web Series
Mumford & Sons dropped its third studio album, 'Wilder Mind,' earlier this week. They celebrated by performing the lead single from the LP, "Believe" -- the first Mumford track to showcase the band's new sonic direction -- on "Late Show With David Letterman." The group also performed a full set on the new web series, "Legends on Letterman." -
Junk Mail: Mumford & Sons 'Wilder Mind' Album Review
On its own merits, Wilder Mind is a very commendable The National record. I think some people may complain about the relationship-heavy lyrics, but I'm personally always down for a breakup album. Against the merits of Mumford & Sons' first two albums, I'd probably just totally leave Wilder Mind behind. I miss the banjo and the piano and the passion so much.
