Prince Will Appear on 'Saturday Night Live' as Musical Guest on Nov. 1 with Host Chris Rock
On his Facebook account, Prince announced he will be the musical guest on the Nov. 1 episode of "Saturday Night Live," which will be hosted by comedian Chris Rock. Included in the post is a photo of Prince with his band 3rdeyegirl alongside a photo of Rock dressed as the legendary musician — which is not the first time he has used an image of a comedian dressed like him. Did you watch Bill Hader on Saturday Night Live this past weekend? You would think that as a former cast favorite the ratings would have spiked even a tiny bit higher then they have been in recent months. Instead the result was the absolute opposite. The Replacements Perform "Alex Chilton" On 'Fallon,' 28 Years After Being Banned From 'SNL' [WATCH]
On last night's (Sept. 9) episode of The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon, legendary alternative rock band the Replacements made their first television appearance in over 25 years, performing their classic song "Alex Chilton" from their 1987 album Pleased To Meet Me. It's also the band's first time back to 30 Rockefeller Plaza after being banned from Saturday Night Live after a characteristically drunk and sloppy performance on that show back in 1986.
