A grand jury in St. Louis County has been hearing testimony for nearly three months now over a case that has grabbed headlines on a daily basis. The account of what happened between Ferguson police officer, Darren Wilson and 18-year old Michael Brown on Aug. 9 differs depending on who you happen to be listening to but the case has incited, protests, riots and opened some serious dialog. Some witnesses have claimed that the unarmed Brown had his hands in the air when shot numerous times by Wilson. The officer insists that killing Brown was ultimately an act done in self defense, and the grand jury's final decision on whether or not to indict Wilson is expected any day now. -
Police Say 16-Year-Old Sash Alexander Nemphos Planned on Opening Fire at Maryland School on Halloween But Was Too Drunk to Do It
Just a few short weeks after Jaylen Fryberg opened fire on a table full of his closest friends at Marysville-Pilchuck High School in Washington state, we are learning that another school came close to having a similar tragedy. On Saturday, Nov. 1, 16-year-old Sash Alexander Nemphos was confronted by police after being a suspect in several Monkton, Maryland, area theft cases. The teen was clearly intoxicated at the time and unveiled a plan involving a gun that he was accused of stealing.Nemphos claimed he was going to drive to school, shoot the officer who stands guard and then use his gun to kill as many kids and teachers as possible. He then told investigators he had originally intended to carry out his plan on Halloween because he had the gun in his backpack but had forgotten to bring several bombs he had built, so he postponed his plan. He chalked up his forgetfulness to being too drunk on that particular day. -
Shaylee Chuckulnaskit is Fourth Student to Die as a Result of Jaylen Fryberg's Washington School Shooting
Exactly one week to the day after Jaylin Fryberg opened fire on 5 of his closest friends during lunch at Marysville-Pilchuk High school in Washington state, another victim has died. 14-year old Shaylee Chuckulnaskit was shot in the head by Fryberg and she passed away on Friday night after never showing signs of improvement. Her heartbroken family issued a statement to the press saying, -

Gia Soriano Second Student to Succumb to Injuries after Jaylin Fryberg Opened Fire in Washington School Shooting Last Friday
Two days after being shot by good friend Jaylin Fryberg, 14-year-old Gia Soriano's family made the devastating decision to take her off life support. She died at Providence Regional Medical Center Everett and her organs were donated for transplant. Last Friday morning, Oct. 24, Fryberg walked into Maryville-Pilchuk High School's cafeteria in Washington state and shot five of the people closest to him, including his two cousins. Zoe Galasso died at the scene after being shot and Fryberg also died of a self-inflicted gunshot wound. -
