• Diplo & Skrillex (Jack U) Deliver Hour-Long Mix On Big Boys Neighborhood Power 106 FM [LISTEN]

    Diplo & Skrillex have been busy with a host of different media commitments and they continue their visits to various radio stations and major media outlets. They have been making appearance on a whole host of radio stations and TV shows this fall. Now their duo, known as Jack U stay in their backyard, going on Power 106 in Los Angeles on Big Boy's Neighborhood. They get in the mix to spin a live DJ set that features some of their own material in a unique blend of hip hop, trap and various forms of electronic music.

    Disney's new video game "Fantasia: Music Evolved" just announced the three new tracks that will be joining the rest of the in-game soundtrack. Contributions from Skrillex and Alvin Risk, Coldplay and Soundgarden will be a part of a new downloadable content patch, who now joins artists like Nicki Minaj, Queen, Lorde, The Police, Elton John and others. Risk, collaborator with Skrillex on "Try It Out," posted a video on his Facebook giving fans a visual at what it would look like to play the game to the sounds of "Try It Out."The video game also released a video that shows you how you can "remix" Coldplay's "Paradise," which is part of the DLC. The last song in the DLC is Soundgarden's "Spoonman."

    Despite having just released an album, "Money Sucks, Friends Rule," Dillon Francis is already gearing up to release new material. He took to Twitter to announce that he will be releasing a new moombahton EP that will feature four tracks: two new ones and an ID with Skrillex that he opened his Electric Daisy Carnival Las Vegas set with, via "YourEDM." The pair's first child, Lockett, was born in 2010.As of late, Diplo has been romantically linked to Katy Perry, although those rumors have not been confirmed. They were seen publicly at Coachella in April, and over the summer Perry went to Jamaica with the EDM artist to work on new, reggae-infused music."The funniest moment was having Katy Perry in the studio singing 'woke up this morning feeling so blessed' and writing a whole song to the Rootsman Riddim while Jesse did the dub for 'Modern Day Judas,'" Walshy Fire, who was also in the studio with the pair, said. "Watching her catch that reggae vibe was the best part of recording."Diplo has been caught up in a social media scuffle lately with Taylor Swift and Lorde. They stopped in at Hot 97 to chat with Ebro Darden on his radio show "Ebro in the Morning" about a variety of topics including Riff Raff, new music, their roots and more via Do Androids Dance.It is not often that you see two dance producers/DJs on a hip-hop morning radio show, but Skrillex and Diplo have become big enough to earn that honor. Ebro has been skeptical of Riff Raff, someone who Diplo signed to his label Mad Decent, and they both assure him about the seriousness of Riff Raff and agree he is a quirky, polarizing individual who loves what he does, which is what attracts Diplo to him.

Yesterday, as part of a non-traditional media day for disc jockeys, Skrillex and Diplo made an appearance on the show along with New Jersey DJs and producers DJ Fire and Dougie Fresh, who have released tracks on Diplo's record label Mad Decent.Since the show was geared toward an urban audience, the questions were related to their work with hip-hop and R&B acts, something both of them have experience in, Diplo especially. Diplo dished on club music, specifically Jersey club, and how he got in touch with DJ Fire and Dougie Fresh and the influence club music is having on the wider music arena.They discussed the inspiration for their new project Jack U and what it is up to over the next few months, including their Madison Square Garden show on New Year's Eve.
