It has been more than 10 years since the world got an album from the U.K. group, but that is scheduled to change in 2015. Carl Barat said the new songs are "surprisingly upbeat."

    Today (Jan. 22), a new solo track by Libertines frontman Pete Doherty, titled "Flags of the Old Regime," premiered on BBC Radio 1, but you can check it out for yourself here. The track finds the garage-rocker taking a more subdued approach, employing an acoustic guitar, organ, a string section and some minimal percussion for a heartbreaking tribute to his late friend Amy Winehouse. According to reports, the song will see an official release in March with all proceeds going towards the Amy Winehouse Foundation.
