5 Great Chris Squire Bass Songs in Memory of The Legendary Yes-Man
Today is a sad one for fans of classic rock, progressive rock, and the bass guitar in general: Chris Squire was one of the most deft and appreciated players of four string to emerge from the first generation of prog rock bands, and played in every one of Yes's concerts for more than 45 years. Pop rock veterans Toto, best known for their hits "Rosanna" and "Africa," have announced a new album titled "Toto XIV," which is set for release March 24. Though its title implies that this is the 14th Toto studio album, it is actually the 13th — maybe they are counting their 1984 soundtrack for David Lynch's Dune. Though the band's own website states that it is the first Toto album in 10 years, their last album "Falling in Between" was actually released nine years ago in 2006, so maybe they are just not good with numbers. In the album's video trailer — which you can check out below — keyboardist Steve Porcaro insists that the band is not going "through the motions" with "Toto XIV." -
