Ernie Banks, an MLB Hall of Famer and longtime face of the Chicago Cubs organization, died last week at the age of 83. He was an amazing shortstop, winning gold gloves and home run titles and MVP awards during his career, but perhaps he will be best known as representing the Cubs organization better than any other player. The team has been notorious for its inability to secure a World Series title, having not won since 1907 and not even making the big series since 1945. The most buzzed about festival in the world of 2015, according to one source, Tomorrowland has just unveiled the first artist who will be performing at the Belgian electronic music festival this year and it is not someone you would expect. The ID&T produced festival has also revealed the dates for its 11th edition on the grassy fields of Boom, Belgium and ticketing information. -
The Jesus and Mary Chain Announce North American Tour For 'Psychocandy' 30th Anniversary [FULL SCHEDULE]
Scottish noise pop pioneers The Jesus and Mary Chain have announced a string of North American tour dates in support of the 30th anniversary of their classic debut album Psychocandy. According to Pitchfork, the North American leg of the tour kicks off on May 1 in Toronto, and finishes up on May 16 in San Francisco, with a stop at the Austin Psych Fest in Austin, Texas on May 9. Fans living on the East Coast are out of luck though, unless they want to drive all the way to Toronto or Detroit. -

The Winter X Games have been ramping their effort to court 18-25 year olds and in the past few years the winter sporting event has tapped into the growing popularity of electronic music to try and reach the youth of America. In 2014 ESPN, the host of the X Games, tabbed international star DJs, Tiësto and Axwell to perform alongside traditional draws Phoenix and Matt & Kim. In 2015, the X Games kept with the EDM theme, switching out the rockers for rappers with Snoop Dogg and Wiz Khalifa taking the stage with Chromeo and Skrillex filling out the lineup. -
Pete Wentz Says Fall Out Boy Wrote Songs for One Direction That Were 'Too Odd'
Pete Wentz recently revealed that Fall Out Boy teamed up with One Direction for a writing session prior to the completion of the boy band's last album Four, which came out in November. According to FOB's bassist/lyricist, the songs were not used on 1D's album most likely because they were "too odd" for the pop stars. Wentz also went on to talk about how Fall Out Boy, which released "American Beauty/American Psycho" earlier this month, has been able to maintain a successful career. -

David Bowie has had several documentaries made about his legendary and varied career but none have come close to the original: Cracked Era, which debuted on the BBC during 1975 and caught the vocalist following the release of Diamond Dogs and his preparation for the tour in support of the album.
