The New York City rap collective performed hits from their catalog and brought out a surprise guest: Drake. The Toronto rapper performed his crowd-pleasing verse from ILOVEMAKONNEN's breakout hit "Tuesday." Footage from the show has been popping up on social media (via HotNewHipHop). The evening also featured performances from Tink, Alexis Krauss (Sleigh Bells), and Saba. -
Frozen's 'Let It Go' Gets the Puppy Cover You Always Wanted [WATCH]
"Frozen's" "Let It Go" has gotten more then its fair share of covers since its release last year. The soundtrack has sold millions of copies and the movie was the most searched-for costume idea for Halloween, according to "Forbes." The latest cover or rendition of "Let It Go" comes from a cute puppy that has a visceral reaction to hearing Idina Menzel's version of "Let It Go."The sleeping dog is rather unperturbed by Charli XCX's "Boom Clap," but when the song switches over to the blissful piano and soft vocals of "Let It Go," the dog's ears perk up and it starts to look around wondering where the music is coming from, via MTV. The adorable man's best friend chimes in whenever Idina Menzel croons "Go," adding his own howls right on beat.Though we do not get to see a full cover of "Let It Go" from this cute back-seat pup, you get a good idea of its love for the song. As soon as the music is switched from "Frozen" back to Charlie XCX's "Boom Clap," the dog puts its head back down and goes back to sleep, losing interest in the music. -
Soul Train Awards 2014: Lil' Kim, Missy Elliot and Da Brat Perform 'Not Tonight (Ladies Night Remix)' [WATCH]
Lil' Kim, Missy Elliott and Da Brat reunited at the Soul Train Awards last month for a performance of their 1997 collaboration "Not Tonight (Ladies Night Remix)." The show aired last night, Nov. 30, and the crowd was loving every minute of it. Eric Benet sang the intro while Total, MC Lyte, The Lady of Rage and Yo-Yo all joined in on the fun. The performance even included the Lisa "Left Eye" Lopes verse via a screen playing the music video.The audience erupted when Lil' Kim strutted onstage in the video below. She kicked off the wild song, eventually getting into her Shmoney Dance, "MTV News" noted. Over the weekend, country music superstar Brad Paisley has unveiled his own collection of boots, hats, T-shirts and jackets at Boot Barn. To fit in with the "Perfect Storm" singer's new album Moonshine in the Trunk, the line is logically called Moonshine Spirit by Brad Paisley. -

Jack White Discusses 'Rise and Fall of Paramount Records' Box Set on 'CBS This Morning' [WATCH]
Last year, Jack White's label Third Man Records joined forces with guitarist John Fahey's Revant Records to release "The Rise and Fall of Paramount Records, Vol.1 (1917-1927)," a six-LP box set of remastered recordings from the legendary Wisconsin-based blues label. It also included several hundred pages of biographical material, a lengthy art book and an elegant case to carry the whole set.Now he is releasing the second volume with another 800 digitally remastered tracks, 6 LPs on vinyl and much more. The former White Stripes frontman went on "CBS This Morning" over the weekend to talk about the project that took many years to compile, what his inspiration was behind it and why it is such an important collection of music.In the four-minute interview, Jack White explains his reasoning behind the project, jokingly saying that it was to show "how ludicrous I can be with my free time." As the interview goes on, you see White's reverence for the artists in the box set and the artistry that went into Paramount Records. -

Nicki Minaj will release her upcoming album The Pinkprint in a few weeks, and now that it has become available for pre-order, the 16-song standard-edition tracklist and cover art have been revealed. The songs only seem to appear on Amazon France's site, so it is unclear whether it was supposed to be released or whether this was an accidental leak. -
Early Dave Grohl Song 'Hooker on the Street' Surfaces After Appearing in Recent 'Sonic Highways' Episode [LISTEN]
A song from Dave Grohl's early solo work has surfaced and it's downright funky. "Hooker on the Street" is one of 40 tracks Grohl wrote toward the end of Nirvana. The song played in Friday, Nov. 28's episode of the singer's HBO series "Foo Fighters: Sonic Highways" in which his current band visits Seattle, Washington, "Consequence of Sound" noted.The song shows off Grohl's ever-present sense of humor while offering an impressive look into some of the singer's influences. The Foo Fighters frontman does his best James Brown over a Jane's Addiction melody, and he even busts out some Glenn Danzig during the tune. Check it out below.During the episode, Grohl recalls Kurt Cobain's reaction to some of his early demo work — some of it would be featured on the debut album for the Foo Fighters in 1995."Kurt heard that, and kissed me on the face, as he was in a bath," Grohl said. "He was so excited. He was like, 'I heard you recorded some stuff with Barrett [Jones].' I was like, 'Yeah.' He was like, 'Let me hear it.' I was too afraid to be in the same room as he listened to it." -

Lana Del Rey will hit the road in May for the Endless Summer Tour in support of her newest album "Ultraviolence," which came out in June. Courtney Love will join the "Born to Die" singer for the first half of the jaunt, with another opener slated to take over at the May 28 gig in Indiana — to be announced. Love is putting together a new solo record that is expected in 2015, "Consequence of Sound" reported.Rey's "Ultraviolence" made it to No. 1 on the "Billboard" 200 chart as well as the Top Tastemaker Albums list. The album, produced by The Black Keys frontman Dan Auerbach, includes singles like "Shades of Cool," "West Coast" and the title track. It was met with generally positive reviews.Love dropped new songs "You Know My Name" and "Wedding Day" earlier this year. In 2013, the Hole frontwoman promised a new album before the new year. That never happened. -
