• Lil Wayne is Recovering From Elbow Surgery in Miami Hospital

Lil Wayne has had a tough year. The New Orleans born rapper has been named in a number of lawsuits over failure to pay bills for pyrotechnics, private jets and more. Further, he is embroiled in a deeply personal lawsuit with his former mentor and label head Birdman. The rapper is seeking $51 million in damages and withheld compensation. The lawsuit has created tensions between Cash Money artists like Young Thug and artists on Lil Wayne's Young Money imprint like Drake and Tyga, and has delayed the release of Lil Wayne's upcoming album 'Tha Carter V'. It appears, only adding to his troubles, Lil Wayne had to have surgery on his elbow. However, he is successfully recovering from the surgery now, and seems to be in good spirits. After waking up from anesthesia, Wayne tweeted, "Much luv [to] Dr. Kaplan [and] his team at Univ. of Miami hospital for a successful (elbow) surgery. [And] dey had me on the tunes during surgery... dope!"
  • Trick Daddy Blames Beef with Lil Wayne on Birdman Not Being 'More of a Businessman'

This week, Miami rapper Trick Daddy stoped by NYC's Power 105.1 The Breakfast Club for a candid interview. True to form, Trick Daddy was honest to a fault with the crew as they touched on the subject of his past beef with Lil Wayne, where he placed the blame squarely on Birdman's shoulders saying, "had he been more of a businessman," the whole incident may have been avoided all together.
  • Birdman Sued Yet Again, Producer DVLP Suing Him for $200,000

Birdman is having a rough 2015. Of course, Cash Money has been involved in lawsuits and bitter fallouts with its artists since the beginning, though it seems this year has been especially hard on the label and its CEO. The latest artist to come at Birdman for unpaid royalties is producer DVLP, who has worked extensively with Lil Wayne. DVLP maintains, and claims to have proof via text messages, that Birdman has repeatedly promised to pay him the $200,000 he is rightfully owed -- but to no avail. Now he's done waiting and plans to take the Cash Money boss to court.
  • Birdman Misses Lil Wayne on Instagram, Wants to Save Young Money

It's been shocking to watch father-son relationship between Birdman and Lil Wayne collapse right before our eyes, especially with such vitriol. It started with a few tweets from Wayne pleading for his freedom from the Cash Money "prison." Those tweets soon turned into a $51 million lawsuit against the label and its CEO Birdman, which, as of now, still hasn't been resolved. Somehow, things got even worse after the lawsuit as a recent indictment naming Birdman as a co-conspirator, along with Young Thug, in a plot to shoot up Wayne's tour bus. Today, finally, it seems Birdman has given his first apology to Wayne -- or, at least, his first attempt at reconciliation.
  • New Indictment Says PeeWee Roscoe Told Lil Wayne He Would "Spray His Bus"

A new indictment has revealed more (alleged) details of the April shooting at Lil Wayne's tour bus in Atlanta. Former Rich Gang affiliate Jimmy Winfrey, aka PeeWee Roscoe, is currently incarcerated for the bus shooting and he's now been charged with "terroristic threats" for allegedly telling Wayne he'd "spray his bus." An indictment last month named Birdman and Young Thug as co-conspirators in the plot to kill Wayne, though neither man has yet been charged.
