Sad new for ravers in the Southeastern United States - TomorrowWorld has officially been canceled for 2016. The news isn't all that surprising after a spokesperson said that because of SFX's bankruptcy filing, the festival might be the odd man out as the failing EDM conglomerate tries to consolidate its debts. -

Yesterday the unsurprising news broke that former dance music behemoth SFX Entertainment was filing for bankruptcy after nearly a year of mounting debt and a rock-bottom stock price. This has caused concerns about many of their assets like Beatport, Made Event, ID&T and Totem OneLove. Beatport released a statement yesterday saying they were continuing business as usual, while festivals like Stereosonic also commented that they planned to go ahead with their 2016 edition. However it appears as though the financial issues could impact one or more festivals, such as TomorrowWorld. -

According to first-hand accounts horrid weather left attendees stranded at the festival or in the woods on the side of the road outside without transportation back to their hotels or cars. -

Thousands of ravers descended on Chattahoochee Hills, Georgia this weekend to celebrate electronic music at TomorrowWorld and for many they had a wonderful time. However the weather brought down torrential rains and due to poor planning by organizers, what was supposed to be a fun three-day festival turned into a nightmare on Saturday night when shuttle buses were suspended and attendees had to walk several miles at 2 a.m. in the cold, rain and mud to try and get a ride home. -

TomorrowWorld Contributed $93.9 Million to Georgia Economy
Music festivals are big business for everyone involved. There is a lot of money to be made by the performers, the promoters and those involved with the production. Someone has to spend this money and it isn't all just going into the pockets of some out-of-towners, pillaging the area for a few days of fun. Some of those big festival dollars do stay in the area, which is why locals compete to have festivals in their jurisdictions. Major EDM festival TomorrowWorld just released an economic impact study done by ICF International, to show just how much they have grossed for the area of Atlanta, which they are based in and the tax revenue they have generated for the state of Georgia over the past two years. 2014's total was a pretty dramatic increase to $93.9 million in contributions of some form or another to the Georgia total economy. -
TomorrowWorld 2015 Lineup: Armin van Buuren, Tiësto, Hardwell Headline
Heading into its third year, Dutch electronic music event company ID&T's biggest American festival, TomorrowWorld, has announced the first phase of artists who will be performing in 2015. The initial lineup headed to Georgia in September for the American transplant of Tomorrowland includes Tiësto, Steve Angello, Hardwell and Armin van Buuren.
