The network first tipped off fans last night to the fact that its current contract with DirecTV as a carrier is set to expire in a few weeks. While you would think the provider would be jumping through hoops to secure AMC Networks, that simply is not the case.

  • Selena Gomez Reportedly Losing Friends over Her Continued Obsession with Justin Bieber

What is it about Justin Bieber that keeps Selena Gomez constantly going back for more? Even when Gomez is spotted out with other guys it seems a little too perfect. Like her recent trek through an airport with Orlando Bloom, a man that Bieber absolutely hates. Rumors swirled after that insisting that the duo are a new couple and while they might be, something, sources close to Gomez insist that she can't be that into Bloom when she is still "obsessed" with her ex.

  • Terminally Ill 'Death with Dignity' Advocate Brittany Maynard Ends Her Life

Just a few short days ago it sounded like Brittany Maynard was going to choose to hang on a bit longer but in the end she decided to do exactly as she had originally planned, she ended her own life on Nov. 1. Maynard had quickly become the face and voice of the Death with Dignity Act which allows terminally ill patients to take medication to end their own lives legally in only five states. Maynard and her family moved to Oregon last summer in order for her to have choices in how she would spend her final days.
  • Ryan Murphy Says Each Season of 'American Horror Story' Is Like a Puzzle Piece: They'll Eventually All Fit Together

Once again, the new season of "American Horror Story" has come flying out the gate. "Freak Show" is already arguably one of the best installments so far, and while Twisty might have been one of the creepiest clowns ever, don't get too sad over his demise, because according to co-creator Ryan Murphy he is too beloved to be gone for too long. In a recent interview with "Entertainment Weekly," Murphy also confirmed that Lily Rabe, of "AHS: Asylum," will return as Sister Mary Eunice. The way some characters come and go while others seem to shape-shift is no coincidence either. In fact, Murphy reveals that all the different seasons of AHS will ultimately be connected to one another. He explained to "EW":"There's definitely a rhyme or a reason and a connectedness to all of these seasons, but in the same way, they're standalones, which is the fun of it. But it is a puzzle. They're all connected. We're just beginning to tell you how they're connected. They're all very separate but there's clues every season that we're now telling you how the different worlds are intertwined. And Lily coming back and dealing with Pepper is sort of the first unveiling of that connectedness. She's so great in that role, Lily. I understood she wanted to go off and do her own show. But I was thrilled she was able to come back and give us a couple days and show how Sister Mary Eunice and Pepper are connected and how it's all connected. I'm glad she's back in the habit!"
  • Blake Shelton's Interview on '60 Minutes' Is Sure to Ignite More Rumors of Trouble in His Marriage to Miranda Lambert

If we have learned nothing else about Blake Shelton, we know he cares precious little what people think about him. Not only does he ignore the constant rumors about there being trouble in his marriage to Miranda Lambert, but he seems to like saying things that further ignite them. Shelton recently sat for an interview that will air on CBS's "60 Minutes" tonight, and some of his answers will leave fans speculating on the status of his marriage. When he was asked about the rumors of his infidelity and whether or not his love of alcohol has an effect on his home life, Shelton eventually said:"Gosh dang, man, I hear about it all the time. You know, 'It's the same subject matter over and over again,' and, 'All y'all sing about is' you know, 'Pretty girls,' I like pretty girls and I like drinking and I like singing about it. So get over it. It's not just our music, I think, that people feel like they can relate to. But it's us. It's the artists that they feel like they can relate to. I know for me when I go home I hunt, I fish, and I plant corn, and I drive back roads. I literally do the things that I sing about."
  • Will a Band-Aid Baby Save Avril Lavigne's Marriage to Chad Kroeger?

It has been a while since we last talked about Avril Lavigne's marriage to Chad Kroeger, hasn't it? The musical couple celebrated their first anniversary last July, but then almost immediately things seemed to go downhill for the couple. Lavigne's latest studio album was deemed a flop and she reportedly blamed Kroeger because he produced her on it. It seems getting past that resentment is proving difficult for Lavigne, and sources say the couple still has not found themselves on better footing yet.According to a report from E! News:"Avril's friends are encouraging her to try and work it out. They don't like Chad, but she's already been through one painful divorce and they don't want to see her going through another unless there's no other option. Also, she and Chad haven't been married that long so her friends want her to make sure she's given it every chance before pulling the plug. Her career isn't in the best place and she's trying to figure out what she wants for her future. She's trying to write music and she paints, but her life is in limbo. Motherhood is something she really wants for herself. So this thing with Chad, it's going to go one of two ways. Either they're going to get rid of each other or there's a shot they might try to have a baby to save the marriage. My bet is they end up splitting."Uh-oh — a band-aid baby to try and save a relationship usually seems to have the opposite effect on a couple. We have heard about so many celebrity couples that thought that maybe things would improve if they started a family, but in the end it just gives them one more thing to disagree on: parenting.

Reportedly, Giudice is open to the possibility ... but it will cost Bravo.
  • Chris Rock's Jokes About ISIS, 9/11 and Boston Marathon Bombing While Hosting 'Saturday Night Live' Leave Many Outraged

The only thing worse than knowing in advance that an episode of Saturday Night Live might be a bit lackluster is putting tons of faith in a host only for them to miss the mark. Chris Rock did the honors last night and while some were entertained, it seems that his jokes about terrorism hit a little too close to home for some. Rock spoke of the irony of those who had trained to run the 26 mile Boston Marathon only to be told to run because there's a bomb. While Rock repeatedly expressed his love for NYC his comments connected to 9/11 were a bit too much for some.

  • Jehovah's Witnesses Ordered to Pay $13.5 Million to Jose Lopez for Sex Abuse at Hands of Elder Who Had Admitted to Molesting a Child Years Earlier

In 2010, Jose Lopez filed a lawsuit against the Watchtower Bible and Tract Society of New York claiming that he was molested back in 1986. A San Diego judge believed his story and on Friday awarded him $13.5 million in restitution.
  • TLC Decides to Pay Most of 'Here Comes Honey Boo Boo' Cast for Final Season That Won't Actually Ever Air

June Shannon really has unraveled her family business in just a few short weeks. It only took TLC a day or two to decide to cancel Here Comes Honey Boo Boo after photos of Shannon cavorting with her convicted sex offender ex, Mark McDaniel surfaced. While she has insisted that the truth will eventually come out and it'll be on her side, things as of now seem to be pretty dismal. One thing that has been pretty amazing is TLC's treatment of the rest of Shannon's family. Sure they packed up their lights and quickly removed all filming equipment from the house but they also have confirmed that the family will still get paid for a season that will now never air.

Back in September the Real Housewives of Atlanta star began serving an 8 year sentence for a slew of crimes including identity theft and Parks confirmed just a few short weeks later that she was definitely divorcing the con man. • Kaci Hickox, Nurse Tangled in Ebola Scandal, Breaks Quarantine after Insisting She Has No Symptoms, Ready to Go to Court to Fight for Human Rights

She is the nurse who returned from treating Ebola patients in West Africa just last week and, upon landing in Newark, New Jersey, she was taken to a medical detention center to be quarantined. The scuffle began because Hickox reportedly had an elevated temperature when arriving at the airport, and so she was immediately quarantined in a tent. She has broken quarantine and is willing to go to court over the matter.
  • Matt Barnes Split from 'Basketball Wives LA's' Gloria Govan Isn't Amicable after She Forged His Signature on Loan Documents

We told you a few weeks ago that "Basketball Wives L.A." star Gloria Govan had recently split from Matt Barnes over "trust issues." Naturally, everyone initially assumed there must have been some infidelity — again — but that notion went out the window pretty quickly when it was learned that Govan reportedly forged her husbands' signature on legal documents to secure a loan for $150,000. The kicker? Barnes found out when Nina Rawls decided to sue the couple for non-payment.
  • Kanye West Is Ready to Move to Paris with North West, Leaving Kim Kardashian Behind to Focus on Her Image and Career in LA

Kim Kardashian has not exactly had much success when it comes to love. Kanye West is her third husband, and the fact they share a daughter, North West, might be the main thing that prevents her from pulling the plug on their already shaky union. The thing is, for once she is dealing with a man who is as headstrong and determined to do things their way as she is, so their clashes have been epic. According to "Radar Online," the most recent one occurred last week on the night of her birthday bash, and it left Kardashian completely reeling. West loves his life in Paris — do not forget he chose to abandon Kardashian for half her pregnancy in order to spend his time in the City of Lights — and has been dropping hints for a while now about wanting to relocate there full time. Until now, Kardashian has kind of shrugged off the idea because her life, family and career is based in Los Angeles, but finally it seems these two have hit a crossroads.

Apparently, Gia and her two besties have formed a girl group called 3KT and they not only remade Britney Spears's hit song "Circus," but decided they needed a cool video to go along with it. • 'Love & Hip Hop Atlanta's' Benzino and Althea Eaton Have Been Fired Instead of the Mega-Violent Joseline Hernandez

Apparently the producers of Love & Hip Hop Atlanta are siding with the couple whose dysfunction and drama brings the viewers because just this afternoon both Benzino and his love, Althea Eaton were fired. This undoubtedly stems from the smack down that occurred on the recent reunion show between these two and Stevie J with his kinda sorta wife, Joseline Hernandez. One minute everyone was seated and the next, Hernandez was charging the stage at Eaton and it was downhill from there.

  • Security Increased at 9,500 Federal Buildings as Government Fears Random, Lone Terrorist Attacks

Several recent events have prompted the U.S. Department of Homeland Security to decide to tighten security at more than 9,500 facilities across the country that are used by 1.4 million visitors each day. The heightened security is no doubt directly related to the lone gunman, Michael Zehaf-Bibeau, who managed to storm into Canada's Parliament last week shortly after killing Nathan Cirillo, a solider guarding Ottawa's National War Memorial. That incident, plus ISIS, continuously calling for lone-wolf jihad missions certainly has made the U.S. reconsider just how well-protected we all are.
  • Shoshana Roberts Verbally Harassed 108 Times While Walking in NYC: Hollaback! Video Shot to Promote Awareness [WATCH]

What is amazing is the fact that women in general do not respond! Making a smarmy remark while a woman is rushing to work is unlikely to get a response, let alone a date, yet men do it anyway. A nonprofit group called Hollaback! Has produced an eye-opening video everyone must watch in which Shoshana Roberts is verbally harassed 108 times in New York City.
