After being initially premiered on Apple Music as part of their big launch last month, Pharrell has at last released the music video to his new single "Freedom" to the general public via YouTube. More serious than "Happy" but no less inspiring, Pharrell's "Freedom" video has the singer liberate the world. The video follows Pharrell as he teleports around the world to various groups of people who are trapped in their situations and then, as we watch over the course of the video, they slowly free themselves from their trappings, either physical or emotional. -
Meek Mill Talked About Rappers Using Ghostwriters Before Drake Beef
Last night Twitter blew up when Meek Mill fired cannonballs at Drake claiming that the Toronto doesn't write his own raps, notably the lines on their Dreams Worth More Than Money collab "R.I.C.O." This shocked the world that Mill would go after a friend like that, but in a new interview posted today by BBC Radio 1Xtra, this is not the first time Meek Mill has broached the topic of other rappers not writing their own rhymes. -

Electronic music conglomerate SFX Entertainment has announced a new shakeup at its executive level, hinting at a new direction for its music marketplace and editorial home, Beatport. EDC Japan Announced By Insomniac Events For Summer 2016
Insomniac Events' flagship event, Electric Daisy Carnival, has announced it will be headed to Japan in 2016. Details are scarce at the moment, but the event will take place in Tokyo in July next year. So far EDC has expanded internationally to the UK and to Mexico, but its base has been in the United States. The move abroad continues with this new announcement and pushes them into the fertile and fast-growing Asian market. -

Jay Z's TIDAL Price Drops with Family Bundle Plans
TIDAL has announced it is offering a family plan with discounted prices as an attempt to try and lure new users to the service. Jay Z's streaming service is reacting to the moves by other services like Spotify, Apple Music and Rdio, which offer either free subscriptions for a limited time or as part of a freemium model. TIDAL has a pay wall to start and wants to make it more accessible for groups to sign up. The company announced Wednesday that it is offering up to a 50 percent discount on up to four additional users to the same account. The initial user still has to pay the standard $10 per month. -
