Comedian Fred Armisen's list of cool indie rock friends is pretty long, and one of his most frequent collaborators is Dinosaur Jr. singer/guitarist J Mascis. The two have appeared together on Portlandia, Saturday Night Live and Late Night with Seth Meyers (where Armisen is the bandleader), and today, Mascis shared the music video for his latest single "Every Morning" through Funny or Die, featuring an appearance by Armisen, which you can check out below. -

Jimmy Fallon wants to audition to play guitar for Fred Armisen's 'Late Night' Band
As previously reported, Jimmy Fallon is set to take over The Tonight Show next week, but might he also be heading back to Late Night? According to Vulture after hearing the news that Fred Armisen would join Seth Meyers on Late Night as its bandleader, Fallon solicited his former SNL castmate for an audition to play guitar in the band. "I gave [Fred] my e-mail today, and I said, 'I can play guitar!" Fallon told them. "So I have to audition, but I think I have an in. I'm always there for him, if he needs me. Absolutely. Whatever he needs." -

Along with Christian rock singer Leigh Nash (Sixpence None the Richer) and drummer Michael Lerner (Telekinesis), the group took on a cover of the seminal TLC hit "Waterfalls" for the crowd.
