TomorrowWorld Contributed $93.9 Million to Georgia Economy
Music festivals are big business for everyone involved. There is a lot of money to be made by the performers, the promoters and those involved with the production. Someone has to spend this money and it isn't all just going into the pockets of some out-of-towners, pillaging the area for a few days of fun. Some of those big festival dollars do stay in the area, which is why locals compete to have festivals in their jurisdictions. Major EDM festival TomorrowWorld just released an economic impact study done by ICF International, to show just how much they have grossed for the area of Atlanta, which they are based in and the tax revenue they have generated for the state of Georgia over the past two years. 2014's total was a pretty dramatic increase to $93.9 million in contributions of some form or another to the Georgia total economy. -

The Asian festival brand also expected to host an event in Singapore this year, but was forced to cancel after government officials refused licenses at the last minute. A stigma followed the Asian edition of FMF around drug-wary South East Asia where six people died of what were reported as drug overdoses at the time by local police in Kuala Lumpur. However, according to University Malaya Medical Center (UMMC) forensic pathology department head Prof. Dr. K Nadesan, post-mortem autopsies showed the cause of death to be heatstroke, not drugs. -

Kid Cudi just gave a whole new meaning to man on the moon. The "Mr. Rager" rapper took to Twitter late last night to share a handwritten note outlining in remarkable detail his funeral arrangements, for when they arrive. It appears as though he has given the subject a fair amount of thought as he plans for two funerals - one for family and another for his fans - which could be disconcerting that a man his age is already thinking this much about death, or it could be seen as responsible life planning, like buying a Roth IRA or life insurance in your 20s. One of the more remarkable details is that Mr. Cudi wants to those who are caring for him in the afterlife, in his words to "send my body to space to be buried on the moon or send through a wormhole with all my music and my story on a jump drive, if possible." -
